PRO KITCHEN – How to Install Your New Drinking Water Filter

Follow these clear steps to install your Pro Kitchen drinking water filter and enjoy healthier water. The installation process is straightforward, and you will need a star screwdriver, a small adjustable wrench, and possibly a drill.

1. Attach the Mounting Brackets to the Filter Housings
Start by securing one mounting bracket onto each of the filter housings. These brackets will be used to attach the filter system to the wall.

2. Insert the Filter Cartridges into the Filter Housings
Place the filter cartridges into the filter housings according to the color-coded instructions. Secure the wide plastic holder, insert the filter cartridges, and then screw the plastic holder back towards the top of the housing. Tighten the holder using the included filter housing tool, but avoid over-tightening.

3. Connect the Hoses
Install hoses with 3/8" standard fittings onto the nipples located on the sides of the filter housings. The hose with a male fitting (nipple) should connect to the outlet side that leads to the faucet. The hose with two female fittings should connect to the inlet side. Pay attention to the arrows on the filter housing to indicate the direction of water flow (in and out).

4. Shut Off the Cold Water Supply
Turn off the ball valve for the cold water supply to the faucet or mixer. Open the cold water tap on the faucet until the water stops flowing. Keep the faucet open during the installation process.

5. Remove the Flexible Hose from the Cold Water Supply
Use the arrow in the image as a reference to unscrew the flexible hose from the cold water side. Be ready with a small plastic container to catch any water that may drip from the hose for a few seconds after removing it.

6. Mount the Filter System on the Wall
Secure the filter system to the wall using the included screws and plugs. If you're attaching it directly to wood, you can screw the system in place. If mounting on another surface, drill holes and use the provided plugs. Aim to position the filter system as close to the ball valve (shutoff valve) as possible.

7. Reconnect the Flexible Hose to the Water Inlet of the Filter Housing
Reattach the flexible hose to the inlet side of the filter housing where you previously removed the hose near the ball valve.

8. Reconnect the Outlet Hose from the Filter Housing to the Faucet
Screw the outlet flexible hose from the filter housing (with the male fitting) to the hose leading up to the faucet that you disconnected earlier.

9. Turn On the Cold Water Supply
Turn the ball valve back on to allow water to flow through the system. Check for any leaks around the connections. Ensure everything is tightly secured, but do not over-tighten.

10. Use the Filtered Water with Caution
When you use the filtered drinking water, avoid turning on the full water pressure. It’s best to draw water at a rate of about 3 liters per minute for optimal filtration.

11. Adapter Set for 2-inch Connections Under the Sink
If you have 2-inch connections under your sink, use the included adapter set. First, remove the hose from the inlet side of the filter housing. Attach the supplied 3/8" to 1/2" hose. Replace the nipple in the outgoing flexible hose from the filter (leading to the faucet) with the provided 3/8" to 2-inch nipple. Follow the other instructions as described.
